News desk: New prices of diesel and kerosene have come into effect. Diesel and kerosene are being sold at Tk 106 per liter instead of Tk 25 per liter reduced by Tk 2. On Monday, customers visited various fuel stations in the capital and did not see much pressure. On the question of reduction in fare due to reduction in diesel prices, the drivers claim that they are already charging less fare.
So they have to bear the loss if the rent is reduced again at the newly adjusted price. Earlier on Sunday, the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a notification setting the new price of fuel oil. The notification calls for keeping the price of kerosene at par with diesel to prevent adulteration. However, petrol and octane prices remain unchanged. Basically, the government has introduced the automatic pricing system of fuel from March in line with the global market.
